Provincial Guidelines in Canada
Provinces in Canada have developed guidelines for protecting wtercourses and aquatic habitat. Guidelines may be produced by natural resource conservation agencies and/or agencies responsible for infrastructure and development (e.g., Transportation Departments).
Industry Association Guidelines in Canada
Industry associations from time to time work with federal and provincial government departments to develop guidelines that ensure that regulatory requirements are conformed to in the most efficient and effective manner. Some examples are presented below.
